Hope Homes Foundation offers Consulting Services to assist homeowners who lost their homes in the Lahaina wildfire, specifically focusing on the pre-building stage. We will walk you through the step-by-step process from start to finish until you accomplish the tasks at hand and reach your goal of rebuilding your home.

A 90 minute free consultation is provided to help you understand where you are at and the steps you will need to accomplish to build your home. We'll start with discovering what your needs will and give you help to take steps forwards. For example knowing if you have have legal title to the property, and then guiding you to the next step. If you are not the legal owner, we'll assist you in obtaining legal title to the property in compliance with a will, trust or probate.

We will also walkthrough the next step of securing your funding, your plans, obtaining permits and the extra fees that may come up before you start building. Our Owner Builder Program is to assist those who choose to manage the building process of your own home, rather than hire a general contractor. You may actually build some of it yourself or hire licensed subcontractors. Our program provides a Foreman who is experienced in reading blueprints and building residential homes from ground up to finish, to guide the Owner-Builder through the process.

Our program is unique because we include an assessment before the Owner-Builder gets started; to be aware of all that's involved with building our own home. We cover defining the decision maker(s), the budget to build and how to stay within it, preparation for the unforeseen situations, and even a care team that does wellness checks for you the owner builder ! We want to ensure a successful, and enjoyable completion of your home.
